A sliding table panel saw is the most versatile of all circular saws. Models such as the Altendorf F45 are capable of working with panel products, composites, non-ferrous metals and of course solid wood. The concept incorporates a horizontal sliding table that supports and carries the workpiece past a static saw unit. The saw unit can be tilted and the workpiece angled to produce compound mitres. Manual, semi-automatic and CNC controlled machine setting options are available to suit your production requirements.
Altendorf invented the concept of a sliding table panel saw in 1906 have been continually innovating in this area for over 111 years.
When straight 90° cutting is required a vertical panel saw (also referred to as a wall saw) offers supreme space saving accuracy, safety and ease of operation. Material is positioned vertically and remains static supported by the machine frame while the travelling saw carriage is moved through the panel. An Elcon vertical panel saw is suitable for cutting virtually all panel materials. For larger sheet sizes panel lifting and automatic sawing options are available to boost production and reduce operator handling.
Elcon have been producing vertical panel saws since the 1970’s and today offer the most robust and technically advanced range on the market.
Precisely thanks to the high level of technology in SCM circular saws, even the user with less experience starting to work for the first time with a squaring machine, can achieve excellent results.
Furthermore, thanks to the different devices specifically designed for SCM wood circular saws, not only can straight cuts be achieved but also highly accurate angular ones, without the need for complicated mathematical calculations.
