Cutting list optimisation
Cutting list optimisation is a key advantage. Single or multiple cutting lists can been programmed either directly at the machine or remotely from an office PC. The operator then loads material onto the machine which is then automatically scanned and measured. A powerful software algorithm determines the most efficient order in which to cut based on the timber length offered and continually optimises the cutting list to produce the best possible yield with minimal waste.

Let the Automatic Crosscut Saw do the hard work
The entire measuring, feeding and crosscutting process is automated. This means that operators of a lower skill level can be used while maintaining a safe system of working. For higher volume processing chain and gravity fed infeed systems are available. Once cut to length, the finished workpieces are pushed out of the machine and can be automatically sorted with ejection and sorting outfeed options.

Straight and angle cutting
The Salvador SuperPush and SuperCut models offer fast flexible crosscutting at 90° while the SuperAngle offers ultimate flexibility for straight or angled cutting up to +/- 70° with angle specific optimisation software. Pack cutting is possible on the SuperPush models with optional side aligners while the SuperCut offers extremely fast single piece processing.

Defecting and quality grade selection
In addition to optimisation software Salvador automatic crosscut saws also feature defecting and timber grade selection. Prior to loading material onto the machine the operator uses a luminescent pen to mark areas to be removed such as knots. The machine then automatically scans the length optimising the cutting list around the defects. Up to 5 quality grades can also be marked with a separate cutting list used for each.
