Leading machinery distributor, Daltons Wadkin, is pleased to report record visitor numbers at their recent Wood & Panel Machinery Show. The three-day event showcased the very latest woodworking machine technology from leading European manufacturers including Salvador, Kimla, Elcon, SCM, Altendorf, Stenner and more.
Over 100 attendees from industry, education and government visited to see automatic crosscut saws, sliding table panel saws, wall saws, CNC routers, classical machinery, edgebanders, and band resaws. “The pre-show interest we received was exceptional this year”, comments Sales Director
Andy Walsh. “There was a healthy mix of new and existing customers. Salvador automatic crosscut saws were of particular interest as companies continue to look for opportunities to stream line production; cutting labour costs, reducing waste, increasing productivity”.
The 2022 Wood & Panel Show saw the largest display of Salvador automatic crosscut saws ever in the UK with all key models available for working demonstration. Customers were able to witness first hand advanced features such as remote programming, cutting list optimisation, defecting, angle cutting, chain loading, and automatic outfeed systems.
Kimla CNC routers also received a lot of attention. The large format, high speed router and oscillating knife system makes it ideal for cutting a range of products; solid wood, wood based panels, plastics, non-ferrous metals, foam, rubber, fibre glass and other advanced materials. The PowerCut fiber laser was also on demonstration, showing how Kimla’s unique CNC software and control system can be pushed to deliver sheet metal cutting speeds up to 6m /second – a truly awesome sight.
Many customers visited to discuss workshop expansion plans including the procurement of a number of new and serviced machines with associated support services.
